This set of main cap studs and nuts is stronger than the original factory studs by a large margin. The set includes studs, nuts, parallel ground washers, lube and fitting instructions. Note the studs have the step in the middle to serve as alignment dowels for the main caps, just like the original ones.
Note there may be some fitting challenges with these studs. You may find you will need to remove .100” from the fastener face of the main caps. Then after checking how much stud thread is exposed after fitting the washer and nut, remove any excess thread length from the stud. Even after doing this, some relieving of the transmission casing may be required for clearance. Despite the additional work, we feel the extra strength of ARP fasteners justifies the effort in any performance engine.
