The same as our 1380HP-ULT build, but with a 5-speed transmission with an overdrive that lets you and your Mini relax on a modern highway!

Our Classic Mini Motors are guaranteed for 12 months or 12,000 miles, from time of delivery!

Ask any group of Classic Minis enthusiasts what feature they wished their Mini had, and one of the top answers will be "a FIFTH gear"! This is particularly true when the car has a nice big torquey engine like one of our 1380cc custom-built power units. We have built literally hundreds of these over the years, but only a special few have been equipped with one of the aftermarket 5-speed gearboxes.

This engine package will out-perform the fire-breathing original Cooper S while matching its fun to drive point and shoot, nimble handling manners that humble far higher-spec competition to this day. Your Mini will jump off the line with authority, each gear perfectly placed for the engine powerband. But when you're not auto-crossing, or enjoying your favorite winding road, you can put this one in fifth and actually take it somewhere!

This is a rebuilt 1380cc Classic Mini motor engine assembly from Mini Mania that includes both the engine and the transmission / gearbox. Both have been rebuilt using our vast experience to ensure the right combination of economy and performance; you get good performance at an economical price! Built to use unleaded gas, the engine will produce higher horsepower than the standard 1275cc unit. The transmission is the rod change linkage-type that uses inboard CV joints and 3.44:1 final drive ratio. Special order units with the older remote shift and yoke outputs are also available. Clutch, flywheel, and all covers are in place; it's ready to run! Please note: non-refundable $2,500USD deposit required at time of order.
