On the bottom side of the floors of original classic Minis, you will find brackets in front and back on each side that are commonly mistaken to be jacking points. These are actually "sling shoe brackets", which are sheet metal pockets that accept the hooks that held and moved the body from place to place on the original assembly line. Ref: 24A41, 24A41/HTG, 24A0041.
If you have had the floors replaced for rust repair, and you want to restore the car as accurately as possible, these brackets may need to be replaced. The front bracket (24A0041) can be used on either side, but the rear ones (24A0042/24A0043) are -handed. Use also 14A9550 inner reinforcing bracket, which fits either side.
Genuine Heritage parts.
